Two employees were exposed to noise above the action level, 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels measured on the A-scale, while performing pallet nailing operations.

29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k). The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program: 1819 Page Boulevard., Springfield, MA: On March 6, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not establish a training program that consists of annual training; the effects of noise on hearing, the purpose of hearing protectors to include the advantages, disadvantages, attenuation types, and instructions of selection, fitting, use, and care; and the purpose of audiometric testing with an explanation of the test procedures. Two employees were exposed to noise above the action level, 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels measured on the A-scale, while performing pallet nailing operations.
