29 CFR 1926.403(g):Marking. Electrical equipment shall not be used unless the manufacturer's name, trademark, or other descriptive marking by which the organization responsible for the product may be identified is placed on the equipment and unless other markings are provided giving voltage, current, wattage, or other ratings as necessary. The marking shall be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved. a) On or about 03/01/2024, at the Teen Empowerment Community Center, located on 373 Genesee Street in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce safety related work practices to ensure all electrical equipment is free of recognized hazards. An electrical panel used for temporary power containing 240 volts was not marked. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards such as but limited to shocks or thermal burns during the installation and or connecting and disconnecting electrical services on unmarked panels, during construction. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION NOT REQUIRED
