29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: On or about March 6, 2024, employees accessed the new residential single-family house using extension ladders that were not extended 3-feet above the landing of the roof. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard. (a) Werner 20-feet extension ladder on the side of the house. (b) Werner 16-feet extension ladder on the back of the house.
