29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees did not use eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:  a) Lot 305: On 3/6/2024, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards while operating pneumatic framing nail guns, in that protective eyewear was not provided while operating these tools at 120 PSI.   Martinez Construction, LLC was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1537850, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/25/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 98 Hanson Way Fortson, Georgia 31808.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) Second Story Top Plate: On or about March 6, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that employees were wearing fall protection while performing framing activities on a residential home at heights of  19-feet, 3-inches form the top plate to the ground when conducting framing activities using the top plate as a walking/working surface.  b) Second Story floor: On or about March 6, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that employees were wearing fall protection while performing framing activities on a residential home at heights of  10-feet, 9-inches form the top plate to the ground when conducting framing activities on the second story.  Martinez Construction, LLC was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1660489, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/22/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 9002 Kaddie Way Columbus, Georgia 31904.
