The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated a) On or about March 12, 2024, at a jobsite located at 204 South Linden St. Jackson Center OH 45334: subcontractor employees performing framing activities (installing prefab wooden trusses) from the platform of a JLG aerial lift (serial# 0300154553 Model#460SJ) were exposed to fall hazards. The controlling employer, Luginbill Construction LLC, did not ensure that the subcontractor employees were adequately protected from hazards of falling approximately 18 feet to the ground below by donning and securing fall arrest systems before operating the aerial lift.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about March 12, 2024 at a jobsite located at 204 South Linden St. Jackson Center OH 45334: subcontractor employees performing framing work activities (installing prefabricated wooden trusses) atop a single-story commercial structure were exposed to the hazard of falling while walking the exterior top plate of stud walls. The controlling employer, Luginbill Construction LLC, did not ensure that the subcontractor's employees installing wooden trusses were adequately protected from hazards of falling approximately 18 feet to the ground below.
