29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions.  Location: 215 Canal Street in Manchester, NH  On or about February 28, 2024, one employee working in an unprotected excavation greater than five feet six inches deep were exposed to a cave in hazard where a competent person did not conduct an inspection of the excavation prior to the employees entering the excavation.
