29 CFR 1917.46(a)(1): Cranes were not fitted with a load indicating device or alternative device in proper working condition. (a) 1701 Dock Street, Memphis, TN: On or about 03/13/2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to crushing injuries or death, in that, a load indicating device was not installed on Manitowoc Crawler Crane, Model 3900, Serial No. 391111, while it was being used to offload steel wire bundles from a barge to the terminal. Watco Companies, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1917.46(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number #1674215, citation number 1, item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on August 28th, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1900 State Route 3543, Hawesville, KY, 42348.
