Located at 12248 Pleasant View Drive, Lot 57, Pickerington, Ohio: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were operating pneumatic nailers to fasten wood framing materials without the use of eye protection. The condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards to the eyes.

29 CFR 1926.502(d)(15): Anchorages used for attachment of personal fall arrest equipment shall be independent of any anchorage being used to support or suspend platforms and capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN) per employee attached. a. Located at 12248 Pleasant View Drive, Lot 57, Pickerington, Ohio: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were using a personal fall arrest system to protect them from fall hazards while framing the second story. The employer did not ensure that the ridge anchor devices were properly installed by fastening the anchor plates securely to the structure. The condition exposed employees to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails shall extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access; or, when such an extension is not possible because of the ladder's length, then the ladder shall be secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and a grasping device, such as a grabrail, shall be provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. In no case shall the extension be such that ladder deflection under a load would, by itself, cause the ladder to slip off its support. a. Located at 12248 Pleasant View Drive, Lot 57, Pickerington, Ohio: On or about March 14, 2024, employees were climbing from the top of multiple six foot step ladders to access the second floor joists, approximately nine feet from the first floor. The employer did not ensure that the siderails of the ladder extended above the landing of the second floor at least three feet to provide the employees with a grasping device. The condition exposed employees to fall hazards from six to nine feet. Yimi S Aguilera Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Sealth standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1517951, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on April 29, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 211 Arlington Drive, Pickerington, Ohio.
