29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2):Portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly: (a) on or about 3/15/2024 and at times prior thereto, workers at the Zig Zag Ranger Station were potentially exposed to minor burns or smoke inhalation in that at least one fire extinguisher was not receiving visual inspections every month. The USFS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1594180, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/18/2022 , with respect to a workplace located at the Hood River Ranger District facility at 6780 OR-35, MOUNT HOOD PARKDALE,OR 97041; The USFS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1594183, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/18/2022 , with respect to a workplace located at the Forest Service Parkdale Work Center at 4747 Hood River Highway, MOUNT HOOD PARKDALE,OR 97041; The USFS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1702251, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/14/2023, with respect to a workplace located at the Malheur National Forest Supervisor's Office at 431 Patterson Bridge Road, JOHN DAY,OR 97845.
