29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): The employer permitted respirators with tight-fitting facepieces to be worn by employees who have facial hair that comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face: (a) On or about 3/18/2024, at facility, for the operators wearing 3M full-face respirator with multi gas vapor cartridge/P100 filter while filling IBC totes with 36.5 to 36.95% by weight formaldehyde solution were not clean-shaven. The employer did not implement procedure to prevent facial hair on respirator users.
