29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4):Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: (a) 121 North Shirk Road, New Holland, PA; at the employee breakroom from the Y warehouse - On or about March 19, 2024, the employer did not post an exit sign at the door leading from the Y warehouse into the employee breakroom. Employees were exposed to evacuation hazards. (b) 121 North Shirk Road, New Holland, PA; at the doorway from the Y warehouse into the maintenance room - On or about March 19, 2024, the employer did not post an exit sign at the door leading from the Y warehouse into the maintenance room where there was an exterior exit. Employees were exposed to evacuation hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
