Employees installing Exterior sidings to the building exterior were not utilizing a personal fall arrest system on a scaffold platform that did not have end-rails installed. Employees installing sidings to the building used scaffolds where mid rails or nets were installed between the top rail and the platform surface to prevent the workers from falling.  Violation occurred on or about 03/20/ 2024.

29 CFR  1926.452(j)(2): Poles were not secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary:  a. 823 South 18th St, Newark, NJ 07108   Employees worked on a Alum-A-Pole Pro-Jack Pump Jack scaffold without securing the poles to a structure. The employees were working at a height of approximately 10 feet, installing sidings without having the scaffold pole base secured to the structure, which affected the stability of the scaffolds and prevented displacement.   Violation discovered on or about 03/20/2024
