29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about March 25, 2024, the employer did not provide an emergency shower or eyewash station within the parts room where batteries are stored free of an unobstructed path. Batteries are corrosive due to the sulfuric acid solution. The eyewash station was not accessible within 10 seconds to reach. This condition exposed employees to chemical burn hazards.

29 CFR 1910.243(b)(2): Air hose and hose connections used for conducting compressed air to utilization equipment was not designed for the pressure and service to which they were subjected. On or about March 25, 2024, throughout the mechanic shop, the employer did not use air hose connections designed for the pressure used, exposing employees to struck-by hazards in the following instances: a) Located on the North Side Wall, mechanic shop, there was an air hose available for employees to use. This hose was attached to a hose fitting which was secured by a worm-driven hose clamp which was not designed for use on an air hose, thereby exposing the employees to the whipping action of the hose if the clamp were to come off. b) Located on the South Side Wall, mechanic shop, there was an air hose available for employees to use. This hose was attached to a hose fitting which was secured by a worm-driven hose clamp which was not designed for use on an air hose, thereby exposing the employees to the whipping action of the hose if the clamp were to come off.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: On or about March 25, 2024, on the northside wall, mechanic shop, a relocatable power tap was permanently attached to a metal table supplying power to a speaker and a computer. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock hazards.
