29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded. The guarding device was not in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, was not so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. On or about 26 March 2024, employees of Applied Food Biotechnology, Inc. dba. AFB International were exposed to point-of-operation hazards. A Dixie Double Seamer, Model UVGD-HMI, S/N 21367, did not have a guarding device designed or constructed to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.
