29 CFR 1910.176(a): Use of mechanical equipment. Where mechanical handling equipment is used, sufficient safe clearances shall be allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways shall be kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked.  On or about March 15, 2024, Astro Shapes LLC. located at 65 Main St. Struthers, OH 44471, did not ensure sufficient safe clearances were allowed for mechanical handling equipment utilized for transporting "Buggies" within the plant. Aisles and/or passageways were not cleared of various "Buggies" staged on both sides of the aisles and/or passageways resulting in insufficient safe clearances and exposing employees to overhead, struck-by and caught-in/between hazards. Theses mechanical handling equipment's include but are not limited to the Clark C25C & C32C and Combilift COMBi-CB6600 & CB8000 powered industrial vehicles.
