The following information must be documented, maintained, and retained for a minimum of 12 months, by the employer that conducts the inspection: On or about March 28, 2024, an annual/comprehensive inspection of a Sterling truck mounted telescopic boom crane was not documented. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.1427(a): The employer must ensure that each operator is trained, certified/ licensed, and evaluated in accordance with this section before operating any equipment covered under subpart CC, except for the equipment listed in paragraph (a)(2) of this section. On or about March 28, 2024, the crane operator was not certified/ licensed to operate a truck mounted telescopic boom crane, exposing workers to the hazards associated with an unlicensed crane operator. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
