29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. 29 CFR  1926.451(g)(1): Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section:   (a)  On or about March 28, 2024, employees installing weather proofing from a platform on an all-terrain forklift on a new residential property, were not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet off the platform to the ground below.

This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet off the roof to the ground below.

(a)  On or about March 28, 2024, employees installing weather proofing from a platform on an all-terrain forklift, on a new residential property, were not protected from an approximate 17-foot fall/thrown hazard, located at the back of the residential property. The employer did not ensure employees had been trained on the hazards associated with scaffold work.
