29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): "Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. On March 29, 2024, employees of Felix Amaya, dba: Felix Amaya were installing a new roof system on a commercial building located at 9380 Veterans Memorial Parkway, O'Fallon, MO. The employer and four employees were working on the roof having a 3:12 pitch, without utilizing a fall protection system. The roof was measured and ranged in height of approximately 8-17 feet from ground to gutter board. The employees were exposed to fall hazards to the ground below.
