29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 4985 North Emerald Ct. Maize, KS 67101, employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that a written hazard communication program had not been developed, implemented and maintained at the job site. Employees were handling Builders FirstSource BFS-400 subfloor adhesive and gasoline. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin and eye irritation, drowsiness and/or dizziness, throat, lung and respiratory tract irritation, central nervous system depression, vomiting and/or diarrhea, suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Additionally, Builders FirstSource BFS-400 subfloor adhesive and gasoline, can both act as a fueling agents due to their extreme flammability as a liquid and vapor.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) At the job site located at 4985 North Emerald Ct. Maize, KS 67101, employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to chemical hazards in that they were not provided access to the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for Builders FirstSource BFS-400 subfloor adhesive and gasoline at the job site. The chemical hazards associated with these chemicals include: skin and eye irritation, drowsiness and/or dizziness, throat, lung and respiratory tract irritation, central nervous system depression, vomiting and/or diarrhea, suspected of causing cancer and may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Additionally, Builders FirstSource BFS-400 subfloor adhesive and gasoline, can both act as a fueling agents due to their extreme flammability as a liquid and vapor.
