29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Bo-Mer Plastics LLC., 13 Pulaski Street, Auburn, NY - Finishing Department. On or about April 4, 2024, an employee was permitted to operate Rockwell Vertical Bandsaw, Model 14, Asset #18, while exposed to laceration hazards as the guard did not cover the unused portion of the saw blade.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Bo-Mer Plastics LLC., 13 Pulaski Street, Auburn, NY - Building 13. On or about April 4, 2024, at the Zamec Thermoformers, employees were using compressed air for cleaning at a pressure of approximately 51 PSI. The nozzle was not fitted with a blowout hole or a relief device that drops the pressure to less than 30 PSI.
