29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the production facility located at 37515 W Harry St. Cheney, KS, employees were exposed to struck by hazards in the following instances: 1. In the assembly area, employees engaged in operating the Bridgeport Mill were exposed to struck-by hazards due to no chuck guard being provided. 2. In the drop hammer area, employees engaged in operating the 60X66 Drop Hammer were exposed to struck by and crushing hazards due to no point of operation guarding was provided for the second operator/helper.
