29 CFR 1926.1203(e)(2)(iii): Before an employee enters the space, the internal atmosphere must be tested with a calibrated, direct-reading instrument, for oxygen content, for flammable gases and vapors, and for potential toxic air contaminants, in that order:  (a) 984 Jennifer Lane, Stafford Township, NJ 08050: The employer did not ensure employees entering confined space was free from gasses and vapors and sufficient oxygen content was tested prior to confined space entry. Employees were working in the sewer main with visible water and sewage present. Condition on or about 04/09/2024.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
