29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(i): Footings were not level, sound, rigid, and capable of supporting the loaded scaffold without settling or displacement. a) On or about 04/09/2024, during a commercial construction project located at 5429 Broadway in Lancaster NY; a supported scaffold in use to apply exterior finish was not installed with an adequate firm foundation as required. Scaffold was sitting on soft soil without a firm foundation. Employees engaged in masonry work on a supported scaffold also did not have a firm foundation/footing due to a damaged/cracked mud sill. Employees were exposed to falling to lower levels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
