29 CFR 1910.178(a)(4): Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation of powered industrial truck were performed by the employer without the manufacturer's prior written approval: On or about April 10, 2024, modifications such as drilling a hole and tapping the hole in a forklift tine to receive a bolt that secured a chain system to the underside of the tine in order to lift objects such as molds for an injection molding machine was made to a Daewoo forklift by the employer without the manufacturer's prior written approval and the modification affected the capacity and safe operation of the powered industrial truck.
