29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. A.) Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, On or about 3/20/24 and times prior thereto: an employee utilizing the outdoor walkway between PRP and VAR to access the employee parking lot slipped on snow/ice and was injured. B.) Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, On or about 4/12/24 and times prior thereto: Employees utilizing the outdoor walkway between PRP and VAR to access the employee parking lot were exposed to slip hazards due to water accumulating in the walkway. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
