29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Laguna Lakes Community Clubhouse, 15250 Lakes of Laguna Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL., on or about 04/17/2024, employees in the process of roof activities, on a 5 in 12 slope (vertical to horizontal) roof, were exposed to an approximate 20 foot fall hazard, in that, fall protection equipment was not installed or utilized. b) Laguna Lakes Community Guard Shack adjacent to 15250 Lakes of Laguna Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL., on or about 04/17/2024, employees in the process of roof activities, on a 5 in 12 slope (vertical to horizontal) roof, were exposed to an approximate 15 foot fall hazard, in that, fall protection equipment was not installed or utilized.
