29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." An employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location: 2 Story area of new building @ 9 Peoples Way, Fairhaven, MA On or about 04/23/24 employees were exposed to fall hazards of more than 15 feet to the ground below, where a guardrail system or, personal fall arrest system was not in use.
