29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: a) On or about April 23, 2024, at the construction site, where employees affixing purlins to steel columns worked at heights greater than 15 feet without a fall protection system. Pro Steel Buildings, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1429038, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 14, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 9672 IH-10, Orange, TX 77630.
