29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 4/24/2024 at a roof project located at 285 Crestmount Avenue, Tonawanda, New York; employees were replacing the roof of a three story apartment building. The roof had a 5 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 30 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED AMZ Construction Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1688983, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/22/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 77 Commonwealth Avenue, Buffalo, New York.
