29 CFR  1928.57(a)(7)(i):  The employer did not protect employees from coming into contact with hazards created by moving machinery parts through the installation and use of a guard or shield or guarding by location:  Worksite located at 57 Griffin Road, East Granby, Connecticut:  On, or about, April 29, 2024, an employee suffered a serious hand injury while working on the discharge end of the SB01 soil filling machine.  The employee inadvertently reached for a tray that was falling into the excess soil return chute and contacted rotating parts.  Safeguarding was not provided to prevent entry into the excess soil return chute.
