29 CFR 1926.20(b)(3): Machinery, tool(s), material(s), or equipment which was not in compliance with the applicable requirement(s) of 29 CFR 1926 was not prohibited, and/or was not either identified as unsafe by tagging, or locking the controls to render them inoperable, or physically removed from its place of operation. A) Massaro Corporation on or about May 01 at the address of 100 Seneca Street, Oil City, PA: the overhead door to gain access to the exterior of the building to transport material and supplies for the building and for airflow was not properly secured in the upright position. The mechanism for keeping the door in the raised/open position was removed, so that employees were exposed to the danger of the door lowering to the closed position suddenly and with full force. Employees travel through this area with a bar between the floor and the door holding up the garage door.
