The employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard is guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired.  a) On or about May 7, 2024, at the US Postal Service, Toa Baja Post Office, Distribution Area. Employees were exposed to trip and fall hazards when walking, working and moving equipment (Tilter, Vinyl Hampers, Hard Plastic Hampers, Manual Pallet Jack, General Purpose Mail container and Sack Racks), along broken and uneven floor surfaces along the distribution area as follows:                  1. Several holes on the floor measuring 17 inches by 10.5 inches; 12 inches by 12 inches; 19 inches by 17 inches; 27 inches by 8 inches; 6 inches by 6 inches; 6 inches by 8 inches.   NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
