On the roof of a commercial worksite, located at 1110 Edgewood Avenue West, Jacksonville, FL 32208: On or about May 7, 2024, the employer exposed employees to eye injury hazards caused by airborne debris and flying objects, in that eye protection were not utilized by the employees, while using nail guns to install roof shingles and decking. Burger Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1704470, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 7, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 3932 DuPont Circle, Jacksonville, FL 32205.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems or a combination of warning line system and safety monitoring system: a. On a 4:12 pitched roof of a commercial worksite, located at 1110 Edgewood West, Jacksonville, FL 32208: On or about May 7, 2024, the employer exposed six employees to fall hazards ranging from 10 to 15 feet, in that, fall protection was not utilized by the employees while performing roofing activities. Burger Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1704470, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 7, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 3932 DuPont Circle, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
