29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) EDDIE KANE STEEL PRODUCTS INC.- Maintenance Shop Area: The Delta 6" Belt Sander, S/N IES2678 had a missing guard between the bottom roller and the sanding belt which caused exposure to a pinch point, observed on or about 05/07/2024. b) EDDIE KANE STEEL PRODUCTS INC. - Manufacturing area: The cutting head of the Raptor Oxy/propane cutting table machines, S/N 15-4396, plasma cutting table machine (red table) and Galt CNC plasma cutting table machine were not guarded resulting in employees being exposed to flying hot slag, observed on or about 05/07/2024.
