29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: On or about May 8, 2024, Employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 20 feet while engaged in residential roofing activities. Fall protection was not being utilized while employees were engaged in roof installation activities. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item. Grand Exteriors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1543973, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on October 5, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 8 N. Elm St., Mount Prospect, IL. 60056.
