29 CFR  1904.39(a)(2):  The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye:  On or about May 15, 2024, the U.S. Postal Service, located at 1165 2nd Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, failed to report an employee hospitalization related to a work-related incident within 24 hours.  On May 8, 2024, an employee working in the facility fell while using a cart to reach a radio overhead, the result of the fall was the employee was hospitalized with multiple injuries that required in-patient treatment.  The employer did not report this hospitalization until May 13, 2024.     The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1904.39(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1748391, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 13, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 735 Vanhoorebeke, Joplin, Missouri.
