29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At 1650 Fenton Circle, Lot 119 River Oaks, Foley, Alabama: On May 16, 2024 the employer allowed his employees to use an extension ladder to gain access to the roof and the rails of the ladder did not extend at least three feet above the roof landing to provide safe access exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 10 feet 9 inches to the ground below.
