29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation. (a) On or about May 10, 2024, in backyard of 3327 Q Street, NW Washington, D.C. employer exposed employees to hazards created when working in an excavation during rainy conditions without any protections from wet soil conditions and/or accumulating water in and around the excavation. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
