29 CFR 1910.134(a)(2):  A respirator was not provided by the employer to each employee when such equipment was necessary to protect the health of the employee: (Construction Reference 1926.103)  At the jobsite, employees who were cutting masonry stone/bricks with a Dewalt masonry saw was not protected with personal protective equipment and exposed to respiratory hazards from the dust, silica dust and particles.

At the job site, employees were not provided eye protection when operating a Dewalt right hand grinder while cutting bricks and stone were exposed to eye injuries from flying objects.

At the construction site, the employer did not ensure that employees using a Makita grinder to cut bricks/stone were protected from being exposed to silica dust with the use of engineering controls, work practices and respiratory protection.
