On or about May 28, 2024, on the production line, employees cut logs into lumber and were exposed to noise above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels without having been trained on the advantages, disadvantages, and attenuation of various types of hearing protectors, instructions on selection, fitting, use, and care of hearing protectors, and the purpose of audiometric testing.
