Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.   a- 145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers were were exposed to amputation injuries when operating a portable, gasoline powered air compressor whose pull start spindle was not guarded.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a-  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 12 feet 1 inch to the ground surface below, when walking and working at and near the unprotected edges of a residential structure's second floor while not using fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.   b -  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 10 feet 8 inches to the concrete flooring below, when walking and working at and near unprotected floor openings while not using fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.  c-  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 9 feet 1 inch to the concrete flooring below, when accessing to and egressing from a ladder (set within the residential structure) using the top plates of interior wall frames while not using fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.  d -  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 11 feet 6 inches to the ground surface below, when accessing to and egressing from a ladder (set outside of the residential structure) while at the unprotected edges of a residential structure's second floor while not using fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. 29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    a -  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 9 feet 1 inch to the concrete flooring below, when accessing to and egressing from an interior wall frame's top plates using and portable, unsecured ladder whose side rails extended approximately 12 inches above the wall's top plates.  Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.  b -  145/147/149/151 Stoutsburg Boulevard, Pennington NJ: Workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 11 feet 6 inches to the ground surface below, when accessing to and egressing from a residential structure's second floor using a portable, unsecured ladder whose side rails extended approximately 10 inches above the surface being accessed to and egressed from. Condition observed on or about 05/28/24.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
