29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about May 30, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the W.F. Wells Horizontal Band Saw (model no. W-9-1, serial no. W197801) had unused portions of the saw blade guarded. (b) On or about May 30, 2024, the employer did not ensure the Nardini Lathe (model no. TT 1030E) was properly guarded to protect employees from rotating parts.
