29 CFR  1910.95(c)(1):The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:  (a) Unitex Textile Rental Services, 145 South Satellite Road, South Windsor, CT 06074, Drying Area; On or about May 31, 2024, and at times prior, employees working in the industrial dryer area of the facility were exposed to 88.1 dBA or 77.6% Dose over the sampled 9.72-hour work shift. The Action Limit for noise exposure, adjust for a 9.72-hour work shift, is 85.6 dBA or 66% Dose (corrected for a 2BA instrument error) which was exceeded in the industrial dryer area. The employer did not administer a hearing conservation program that included the requirements described in paragraphs (c) through (o) of the section.
