29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) Baumer Construction Inc. On or about June 3, 2024 at the address of 10450 St. Rt 47 Sidney OH 45365. The employer did not ensure employees were protected from hazards associated with falls while working atop an existing steel frame structure. Three employees performing steel erection work activities (installing standing seam metal roof) were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 17'- 8" to the ground below.
