OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that that employees were exposed to rotating blades of a stand behind lawn mower when dismounting while the blades were still rotating:  a)  Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, East 4th Street, Northampton, Pa - On or about May 24, 2024, employee(s) were not offered access to the manufacturer's instruction manual for the 2021 Hustler brand Super S 52" stand behind lawn mower, model #940221, Serial #21060377.  Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement include, but are not limited to:   The employer should implement a process-based approach to abate the cited hazard. As part of that process, multiple abatement measures from the menu below may be necessary to materially reduce the hazard. The following items are intended as part of an overall process and are not intended as alternatives which, standing alone, would each satisfy the employer's abatement obligations:  1.  Follow 2021 Hustler brand Super S 52" stand behind mower, model #940221, Serial #21060377 operators manual to ensure employees are trained to operate machine and recognize hazards. 2.  Follow 2021 Hustler brand Super S 52" stand behind mower, model #940221, Serial #21060377 operators manual to train employees on daily test procedures necessary for safe machine operation. 3.  Create an employer managed employee certification program that recognizes individuals that have completed necessary training to safely operate machinery.
