29 CFR 1926.501(c): When employees were exposed to falling objects the employer did not require employees to wear hard hats and did not implement measures to prevent objects from falling from higher levels as set forth in (c)(1)-(3) of this section: 55 Whittemore Rd., Sturbridge, MA 01566: On or about April 8, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falling objects during a residential construction project involving roof replacement. An employee was hospitalized after a roll of weather-proofing material fell from the roof and struck her while she was cleaning up materials on the ground level.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: 55 Whittemore Rd., Sturbridge, MA 01566: On or about April 8, 2024, the employer had not trained employees to recognize fall hazards and on the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards, prior to exposure to fall heights of approximately 9 feet during a residential construction project.
