29 CFR  1910.1026(i)(4)(i): Whenever the employer allows employees to consume food or beverages at a worksite where chromium (VI) is present, the employer did not ensure that eating and drinking areas and surfaces are maintained as free as practicable of chromium (VI).  On or about June 25, 2024, wipe samples were taken on the working station and stool of the plasma operator in the plasma coating room. Sampling results showed hexavalent chromium on both wipes. 0.654 micrograms per 10cm2 on the working station and 0.232 micrograms per 10cm2 on the stool. An employee was storing their drinking container, food, and chewing tobacco at their workstation.  Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
