29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: On or about May 10, 2024, and at times prior thereto employees at the USPS P&DC were exposed to occupational injury and illness when they were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. (a) Main Entrance, Hinged Door next to the turnstiles remained locked from the inside when the fire alarm was activated at the time of the inspection. The U S Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1738593, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05-09-2024, with respect to a workplace located at320 Garfield Street, Tacoma, WA 98444.
