The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   a) Work site was located at 864 Woodbury Drive, Jackson, NJ 08527  A worker who was applying siding and trim to a second story dormer was exposed to fall hazards of approximately fourteen feet to ground while standing on the awning of the first floor porch with no fall protection on.  Violation was observed on or about June 11, 2024

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(5)(i):Non-self-supporting ladders were not used at an angle such than the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder way approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder (the distance along the ladder between the foot and the top support):  a) Work site was located at 864 Woodbury Drive, Jackson, NJ 08527  A worker that was doing trim work on a front roof section was observed working from a Werner aluminum extension ladder that was set at an angle less than seventy five degrees. The ladder was extended more than twenty five feet high and set out one hundred and twenty two inches at its base from its landing point.  Violation was observed on or about June 11, 2024.
