29 CFR 1926.55(a)(2): An employee(s) was exposed to substance(s) with a permissible exposure limit not preceded by (C) at concentrations above that specified in Table 1 of �1926.55 for that substance(s): On June 10, 2024, an employee operating a propane-powered floor scraper was exposed to carbon monoxide to an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) concentration of 442.5 parts per million (ppm), approximately 8.85 times OSHA 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) Permissible Exposure Limit of 50 ppm. The carbon monoxide exposure level was derived from carboxyhemoglobin levels of 34.5%, measured on June 10, 2024.

29 CFR 1926.55(b): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not implemented to reduce employee exposure(s) to a substance(s) listed in Table 1 or 2 of �1926.55: On June 10, 2024, an employee operating a propane-powered floor scraper was exposed to carbon monoxide to an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) concentration of 442.5 parts per million (ppm), approximately 8.85 times OSHA 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) Permissible Exposure Limit of 50 ppm. The carbon monoxide exposure level was derived from carboxyhemoglobin levels of 34.5%, measured on June 10, 2024. Engineering controls were not implemented to achieve compliance with the TWA for exposure to carbon monoxide.
